Stability of canonical bases of quantum symmetric pairs
The canonical bases of quantum symmetric pairs (more precisely, $\imath$quantum groups) were constructed by H. Bao and W. Wang. Their idea was to generalize Lusztig’s construction of canonical bases of quantum groups by means of certain projective systems of based modules. The canonical bases of quantum symmetric pairs and quantum groups have many good properties in common. However, the former are not stable in general, while the latter are. Here, “stable” means that canonical bases are preserved by the homomorphisms in projective systems. In this talk, I expain why the stability of canonical bases are important and when the canonical bases of quantum symmetric pairs are stable.
